The program does not change the icons of the Start button or the rest of the taskbar icons. TenStartMenuFixer is technically a portable application, but it makes changes to the registry.
This is good because even if Windows 11 doesn't offer us a choice to choose between the old and new Start Menu design, we can still use the one we like.
Let's just hope Microsoft doesn't remove the old menu from being restored. Stop ruining what has worked for decades. Who would want this trash downgraded OS anyway? Insider builds are total crap so far.

Nothing for the new taskbar has been done yet. Who the hell is asking for this entertainment widget crap? These fools want to turn Windows into some useless smartphone OS. They want to break 29 years of Windows workflow for people who want to be productive just so they can please fanboys.
They can keep this crappy OS. Windows 10 LTSC will be fine till Maybe by then these dense people at Microsoft will be fired. If I were forced to choose, Windows 11 start menu is better for me than the Windows 10 start menu. Microsoft will remove it the same way they removed the option to copy over Windows 7 files onto Windows 8 in order to restore the start menu.
The only good start menus of the new Windows era were the ones of XP and 7. It makes it difficult to shift to something new. Grow up with the dvorak keyboard would not be a problem. Learning it after many years of qwerty would be incredibly difficult. Which you prefer would depend which you learnt. The downward spiral of Windows continues. It seems the same idiots who were working on Windows 10 are also working on By the time 11 is released there will be one big button on the taskbar that can only open Edge.
There will be no user customizability. I am still waiting for the compelling reason to upgrade from Windows 7. None of these Windows 11 features improve productivity In fact the changes just make things harder to find. In the release notes to the latest Winaero Tweaker update, I recall reading that the only change was an additional tweak allowing users to restore the Windows 10 menu in Windows I assume Winaero might have to, uh, keep tweaking that tweak until Windows 11 is finalized.
In Windows 10, I use Open-Shell. I never understood the complaints about the Windows 8. Incomparably more flexible solution than in other versions. Everything on Windows is getting ridiculous. The lastest being this dick-move with the taskbar on 11 and thing like the never-ending print nightmare saga on the rest from 10 down to you-name-the-version.
Basically MS is selling a can of worms. If you buy Windows and keep it wrapped, you are safe. It is a pretty nice app but not on Win When I search Unstream in the store, I see the app in the results, but as soon as I click on it, the store crashes.
Not sure what is going on there. Got the same problem on my XL. I search for the app, select it and the store crashes Solution anybody? I found a solution This will reset your Store on Win Afterwards you can search and install the app on your PC.
Now you should see "Unstream" in your app list. Simply click on the download sign and the app will get downloaded. I will give this a try later today. My experience with twich on Windows sucks That doesn't happened in my Android devices, I have no idea what the heck occurs internally. When I'm seeing intense Dota live matches, I don't have other option that put them on in one of the android devices because I don't want to lose any precious second of epic battles.
Posted via the Windows Central App for Android. Sounds like you have slow internet. Try watching on a lower quality. For those of us with slower internet YouTube Gaming is a much better option. I've found that a stream on medium quality on Twitch keeps resuming and failing whilst comparable quality on YouTube streams seamlessly.
Unstream is fantastic! I really like the notifications. I use unstream, and its great, the only things that i don't like is that u can't roll up the chat because when other ppl send message the chat automatically goes to the last message again, and the other feature that i would like to have is to match the list of ppl in the channel when u type and the first letters of the username.
Is it just me, or the playback of previous broadcasts in Unstream are broken now? Since yesterday, it doesn't work somehow, neither on PC and mobile. Otherwise I love the app, but this is annoying. Is anyone else having this issue too? Works for me, just did it yesterday and today. Although, the current livestreams work just fine. Hope it'll be fixed soon somehow, because I love that app. It is a scary old monster, I think :D. LiveBeard thanks for the tip. I like it more than unstream.
Thanks for the article! Every Twitch app I have tried has been an unbearable experience with all the lag and bad UI. MyTwitch being the least horrible that I have tried so far. I will try these in hopes of getting a somewhat tolerable Twitch experience on Windows. UWP doesn't really matter if the app sucks on all devices. Oh and since Twitch is on the two major ecosystems app stores, UWP is not really a "bonus".
Or it was always this useful and I simply ignored it. Whatever the reason, you may find that a lot of the apps and programs you use every day are available to you under this section.
If none of that works, you can also look at using third-party options such as ClassicShell and Start It could be that Microsoft will stuff the Start menu again later this summer with the Anniversary Update.
